What is roseline shark?

The Roseline shark, also known as the Roseline Torpedo shark or Denison Barb, is a popular freshwater aquarium fish native to the rivers of southern India. They are known for their striking appearance, with a deep red stripe that runs horizontally along their body, contrasting against a silver or gold background.

Roseline sharks are relatively peaceful fish that should be kept in groups of at least 6 individuals to prevent aggression amongst themselves. They do well in planted aquariums with plenty of hiding spots and open swimming areas.

These fish are omnivores and will eat a varied diet of flake foods, pellets, frozen foods, and live foods. They should be fed a balanced diet to ensure their health and vibrant coloration.

Roseline sharks can grow up to 6 inches in length and prefer water temperatures between 73-79°F and a pH of 6.5-7.5. They can be kept with other peaceful community fish of similar size, but should not be housed with aggressive or larger species.

Overall, the Roseline shark is a beautiful and active fish that can make a great addition to a peaceful community aquarium.
